Update about the Center
Dear community,
Over the past few weeks, we have received many inquiries about the future of the Center for Digital Art. Our move from the building that housed the Center over the past decade, together with organizational changes and the temporary absence of a dedicated exhibition space, has led to uncertainty and speculation. We would like to clarify that the Center has not closed.
After many years of operating from a former school building, we have relocated to a new space. The Center’s staff and day-to-day activities are now based in the Max Building, located within the same complex, which serves as our home during this transitional period. Despite the challenges that accompany this change, we continue to run our programs, develop new projects, and uphold our commitment to art, research, education, and community engagement.
A new purpose-built exhibition space is scheduled to be constructed adjacent to the building in the coming months. In the meantime, we will present a series of temporary exhibitions in the municipal galleries (more details to be announced soon). We see this period as an important phase of transition and are continuing to work closely with the municipality and other partners to ensure the Center’s continued activity and long-term development.
At the same time, a search is currently underway for a new Director to lead the Center. This marks an important step in shaping the institution’s next chapter. After twenty-five years of activity, we view this process as an opportunity for renewal, critical reflection, and building a strong foundation for the future.
We are grateful to everyone who has reached out, asked questions, and expressed their support in recent weeks. We will continue to keep you updated as developments unfold, and we look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming programs and events.
